The Ugly Ones is the first CD by This Motor Oil. A distracting collection of dumb pop songs, noise, irritating "musical experiments" and commercials, a lot like what plays on corporate radio – except much better in a good kind of way.
It features assorted recordings made in bedrooms, lofts, garages, etc. Collaborators include Andre Pelletier, Max Rioux and Bruno Tanguay.
Originally released as a limited edition cassette but due to its enduring charm and historical value, was subsequently re-mixed and re-mastered in 2004 for Compact Disc.
